July 26, 2014, SaturdayLake Como Triathlon • Lake Como, Bitterroot National Forest (20 min south of Hamilton, MT); 1500 yd swim, 12.6 mi mountain bike, 7.7 mi trail run. Race starts on the beach at beautiful Lake Como under the snow-capped Como Peaks. 1500m lake swim with water temps typically mid to upper 60s. Mountain bike ride on forest roads, double track and some single track. Cross bikes are allowed but not recommended. Run around the lake on the beautiful lakeside trail. Some paved but mostly singletrack. Catered lunch and awards after the race. Then swap stories with your fellow racers at the Hamilton Brewfest on your way back through town. $65 solo, $150 for a team; limited to 100 participants total. Book'n It for the Library 8K and 3K • Missoula. Both races leave from the Missoula Public Library parking lot, 301 E. Main. Courses follow the River Front Trail along the beautiful Clark Fork River. Runners, walkers, and strollers welcome! For more info and to register visit: www.missoulapubliclibrary.org/race 8k Start: 8:30am. 3k Start: 9:00am. Prizes will be given for top finishers and music and refreshments will be supplied for all. A super-awesome raffle will be held after the race, so stick around! We will also be raffling off, for those interested, a full package of DirecTV for a year for FREE!A $15 registration fee for the 8k and a $10 fee for the 3k. Book'n It for the Library shirts are for sale for $15 with men- and women-specific cuts available. The registration fee increases after 7/12/14 to $20 for the 8k and $15 for the 3k. There is a $2 discount for those runners with a Missoula Public Library card! Proceeds go to support library programming.
Naegeli Ranch Run • Trout Creek. 2 mile and 5 mile length. Might include: trees, logs, hay bales and creeks to cross, hills, forests, irrigation systems, cows, hay fields, and anything else you might imagine on a ranch! $20 entry fee includes t-shirt by July 21, $23 race day registration.
